Everest Trekking | Mount Everest Trek : Himalayan Smile Trek & Adventure
7-Day Everest Trek is
a short but scenic itinerary deep into the Khumbu region, targeted at travelers
who want to experience Sherpa culture, Himalayan landscapes, and panoramic
views of Everest without trekking all the way to Everest Base Camp. The
itinerary starts and ends in Kathmandu and focuses on the areas of Namche
Bazaar, Tengboche, and several iconic viewpoints.
Day 1: Kathmandu to Lukla, Trek to Phakding
Early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, or directly
from Ramechhap during peak season. After a short rest, commence trekking
towards Phakding. The trail descends through forests, small Sherpa villages,
and the Dudh Koshi River. Finally, stay overnight in Phakding.
Day 2: Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Cross several suspension bridges, including the famous
Hillary Bridge. The Sagarmatha National Park entrance marks the beginning of a
steep ascent to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest. Overnight in Namche.
Day 3: Acclimatization in Namche
Spend the day exploring viewpoints and nearby settlements. A
popular side trek is to the Everest View Hotel for panoramic views of Everest,
Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. Visit the Sherpa museum and rest in Namche.
Day 4: Namche to Tengboche
A nice trail with mountain views all day long. Tengboche is
renowned for its big monastery and scenic views. Ama Dablam looks fabulous from
here. Overnight at Tengboche.
Day 5: Tengboche to Namche
Start the descent back to Namche, passing rhododendron
forests, rivers, and small villages. The walk is easier now, and the views of
the returning trail are great.
Day 6: Namche to Lukla
Descend towards Lukla following the same route. Crossing
suspension bridges and rivers will mark your last trekking day. Celebrate your
successful trek.
Day 7: Lukla to Kathmandu
Fly back to Kathmandu. Free time to relax or explore the
city for the rest of the day.
