Langtang – Gosaikunda Trek Itinerary (12 Days)

Day 1: Kathmandu -Syabrubesi (1,460 m)

Drive 7–8 hours through scenic hillsides, rivers, and terraced farmland to reach Syabrubesi, the starting point of the trek.

Day 2: Syabrubesi - Lama Hotel (2,470 m)

Begin trekking along the Langtang Khola. The trail gradually climbs through dense forests of oak, rhododendron, and bamboo. Overnight at Lama Hotel.

Day 3: Lama Hotel - Langtang Village (3,430 m)

Ascend steadily as the valley opens up. Pass Ghodatabela and continue to Langtang Village, rebuilt after the 2015 earthquake and rich in Tamang culture.

Day 4: Langtang Village - Kyanjin Gompa (3,870 m)

A short but scenic trek through yak pastures and prayer walls brings you to Kyanjin Gompa. Explore the monastery and enjoy panoramic views of Langtang Lirung.

Day 5: Acclimatization Day in Kyanjin

Hike to Kyanjin Ri (4,773 m) or the more challenging Tserko Ri (4,984 m) for spectacular Himalayan views. Rest and explore the local cheese factory.

Day 6: Kyanjin Gompa -Lama Hotel

Retrace your steps down the valley. The descent is easier and offers changing perspectives of the mountains.

Day 7: Lama Hotel - Thulo Syabru (2,260 m)

Descend to the river and climb to Thulo Syabru, a picturesque village with beautiful terraced fields and warm hospitality.

Day 8: Thulo Syabru -Shin Gompa (3,330 m)

A steady uphill trail through rhododendron forests leads to Shin Gompa, known for its monastery and local cheese.

Day 9: Shin Gompa - Gosaikunda (4,380 m)

Trek gradually upward to Laurebina, then to the holy lakes of Gosaikunda. Enjoy breathtaking views of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and the shimmering alpine lakes.

Day 10: Gosaikunda - Ghopte (3,530 m) via Lauribina Pass (4,610 m)

Cross the trek’s highest point, Lauribina Pass, then descend steeply into the forested trails leading to Ghopte.

Day 11: Ghopte - Kutumsang (2,470 m)

Continue through rhododendron and fir forests, passing small settlements and enjoying ridge-line views.

Day 12: Kutumsang → Chisapani - Sundarijal -Kathmandu

Trek through Shivapuri National Park to Chisapani, then descend to Sundarijal. Drive back to Kathmandu to end the trek.
