Langtang Gosaikunda trek | Itinerary | Map - Himalayan Smile Treks
Day 1: Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,460 m)
Drive 7–8 hours through scenic hills to Syabrubesi, the
starting point of the trek.
Day 2: Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2,470 m)
Begin trekking on the Langtang Khola, ascending gradually
through forests of oak, rhododendron, and bamboo.
Day 3: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430 m)
Climb steadily as the valley opens up. Pass Ghodatabela and
continue towards Langtang Village, rich in Tamang heritage.Day
4: Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870 m)
Short, Scenic Hike to Kyanjin Gompa: Explore the monastery
and surrounding glacial landscapes.
Day 5: Acclimatization Day in Kyanjin
Hike to Kyanjin Ri or Tserko Ri at 4,984 meters for stunning
Himalayan views, including Langtang Lirung.
Day 6: Kyanjin Gompa to Lama Hotel
Retrace your steps down the valley to make it an easier
downhill day.
Day 7: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2,260 m) Descend to the
river and climb up to the terraced village of Thulo Syabru
Day 8: Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa (3,330 m) A steady ascent
through wildlife-rich forests. Shin Gompa is home to a monastery and a cheese
factory.
Day 9: Shin Gompa to
Gosaikunda (4,380 m) Trek to the sacred alpine lake of Gosaikunda. Enjoy
breathtaking views of Himal Chuli, Ganesh Himal, and Manaslu.
Day 10: Gosaikunda to
Ghopte (3,530 m) Cross Lauribina La pass at 4,610 meters, the highest point of
the trek, then drop down to Ghopte.
Day 11: Ghopte to
Kutumsang (2,470 m) Walk through forests of rhododendron and small settlements,
with continuous ridge-line views.
Day 12: Kutumsang to Chisapani, then to Sundarijal and drive
to Kathmandu Enjoy a final forest walk before reaching Sundarijal, where you
drive back to Kathmandu.
