Gokyo Lakes Trek - 15 days | Everest gokyo lake trek : Himalayan Smile
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)
Meet your guide, finalize permits, and prepare for the
adventure.
Day 2: Fly to Lukla (2,840 m) and then trek to Phakding
(2,610 m)
A short, scenic flight followed by an easy trek along the
Dudh Koshi River.
Day 3: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
Cross suspension bridges and climb to the lively Sherpa
mountain town of Namche.
Day 4: Acclimatization Day in Namche
Hike to either Everest View Hotel or Khumjung village for
acclimatization.
Day 5: Namche to Dole (4,038 m)
Climb steeply out of Namche before following a quieter trail
to Dole.
Day 6: Dole to Machhermo (4,470 m)
A short but scenic trek through alpine terrain with growing
mountain views.
Day 7: Machhermo to Gokyo (4,790 m)
Pass by serene alpine lakes en route to the third and
largest Gokyo Lake.
Day 8: Acclimatization Day - Hike Gokyo Ri (5,357 m)
Climb Gokyo Ri for some of the best panoramas in the Everest
region with views including Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu.
Day 9: Gokyo to Thaknak (4,750 m) A short trek across
glacial moraines in preparation for the next day's pass.
Day 10: Thaknak to Dzongla (4,830 m) via Cho La Pass (5,420
m) A challenging day crossing the icy Cho La Pass with spectacular
high-mountain scenery.
Day 11: Dzongla to
Lobuche (4,910 m) Trek gently and enjoy views of Ama Dablam and Nuptse.
Day 12: Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,164 m) and Everest Base
Camp (5,364 m) Reach the famed base of Everest, then return to Gorak Shep.
Day 13: Climb Kala
Patthar (5,545 m) and descend to Pheriche Watch sunrise views of Everest, then
descend to lower elevation.
Day 14: Pheriche to Namche Retrace your steps through
Pangboche and Tengboche.
Day 15: Namche to Lukla and fly back to Kathmandu Celebrate
the end of the journey by taking the final flight to the capital.
