Annapurna view Trek | Annapurna Panorama : Himalayan Smile Trek
Day 1: Pokhara → Nayapul → Tikhedhunga (1,540 m)
Drive for about 1.5 hours from Pokhara to Nayapul, the
starting point of the trek. Checking in at the ACAP permit office in
Birethanti, follow the trail along the Modi Khola through charming villages and
terraced fields. Take a gentle walk from here to Tikhedhunga for the first
overnight stay.
Day 2: Tikhedhunga → Ulleri → Ghorepani (2,860 m)
Commence with the famous Ulleri climb: over 3,000 stone
steps leading to the Magar village of Ulleri. Continue through beautiful
rhododendron and oak forests, especially colorful in spring. Reach Ghorepani by
afternoon-a beautiful hill village offering stunning sunset views of the
Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.
Day 3: Ghorepani → Poon Hill (3,210 m) Sunrise → Tadapani
(2,630 m)
Early morning rise for a short hike to Poon Hill, Nepal's
iconic viewpoint. Enjoy a breathtaking sunrise view over Annapurna South,
Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and Nilgiri. Return to Ghorepani for
breakfast and then follow a scenic ridge trail through forests to Tadapani for
overnight.
Day 4: Tadapani → Ghandruk (1,940 m)
Down through the dense forest teeming with birds and
wildlife, arrive at the more traditional Gurung village of Ghandruk. This
village is said to have a cultural museum, slate-roofed houses, and views of
Annapurna South and Fishtail. ROP: Spend a quiet afternoon exploring the
village.
Day 5: Ghandruk → Nayapul → Pokhara
Hike down through terraced farmland to Kimche or Nayapul.
Meet your vehicle and drive back to Pokhara. Relax at Phewa Lake or enjoy a
lakeside dinner.
Day 6 (Optional Add-On): Australian Camp / Dhampus Extension
If you want a longer panorama trek, you can continue:
Drive to Kande
Trek to Australian Camp (2,100 m) for sunset views
Overnight at Dhampus (1,650 m); return to Pokhara the
following day. This extension provides more ridge-line views of Annapurna,
Machhapuchhre, and Lamjung Himal.
