Day 1: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, Trek to Tikhedhunga
(1,540 m)
Begin with a scenic 1.5-hour drive from Pokhara to Nayapul,
the starting point of the trek. The trail follows the Modi Khola and passes
through Birethanti, a bustling riverside settlement. The gentle walk continues
through terraced farmland and small Gurung villages. By afternoon, you
gradually climb toward Tikhedhunga, a peaceful stop surrounded by forested
hills and rivers.
Day 2: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2,860 m)
This is one of the trek’s more challenging days due to the
famous Ulleri staircase, consisting of more than 3,000 stone steps. After
reaching Ulleri village, the trail becomes gentler and continues through dense
rhododendron forests—especially vibrant in spring. You pass by small
settlements like Banthanti and Nangethanti before reaching Ghorepani, a
traditional Magar village with stunning mountain views.

Tadapani (2,630 m)

viewpoint is one of Nepal’s most celebrated, offering sweeping panoramas of
Annapurna South, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, and Nilgiri.
After enjoying the sunrise and taking photos, descend back to Ghorepani for
breakfast. The trail to Tadapani passes through mystical forests and open
ridges. Tadapani provides excellent views and a cozy village atmosphere.
Day 4: Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,940 m)
Descend through lush forests rich in birdlife as you
approach the culturally vibrant Gurung village of Ghandruk—one of the largest
in the region. Explore the traditional stone-paved alleys, visit the Gurung
Museum, and enjoy spectacular views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre.
Ghandruk is a cultural highlight of the trek, offering homely hospitality and
beautiful architecture.
Day 5: Ghandruk to Nayapul, Drive to Pokhara

fields, and forests toward Kimche or Nayapul. After a relaxed walk with plenty
of mountain views, meet your vehicle and drive back to Pokhara for a lakeside
evening.
