Nepal Tour – 7 Nights / 8 Days Itinerary
A one-week Nepal tour offers a perfect blend of cultural
heritage, Himalayan scenery, wildlife adventure, and relaxation. This itinerary
is ideal for first-time visitors seeking a balanced experience without
trekking. It highlights the UNESCO heritage sites of Kathmandu Valley, the
serene lakes and mountain views of Pokhara, and the jungle safaris of Chitwan
National Park.
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350 m)
Guests will be met and transferred to their hotel upon
arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport. Check-in, catch up on some rest, or
take a stroll around Thamel. In the evening, most tour operators will brief the
guests about the trip and will assist in exchanging currency or buying a SIM
card.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing (UNESCO Tour)
Start the cultural sightseeing day with Kathmandu Durbar
Square, the ancient royal palace with temples, courtyards, and historical
architecture. Continue to Swayambhunath Stupa, popularly known as the Monkey
Temple, for panoramic valley views. In the afternoon, visit Pashupatinath
Temple, which is the holiest Hindu shrine in Nepal, and Boudhanath, one of the
largest Buddhist stupas in the world. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 3: Drive to Pokhara (200 km / 6–7 hrs)
After breakfast, take a picturesque drive along the Trishuli
River valley to Pokhara, Nepal’s adventure capital. Upon arrival, check into a
lakeside hotel. Later that evening, go on a leisurely walk around Phewa Lake;
you may enjoy a short boat ride or watch the reflection of the Annapurna range
on calm waters.
Day 4: Pokhara Sightseeing
Early morning, drive to Sarangkot for the magnificent
sunrise over the Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Dhaulagiri peaks. Return to the
hotel for breakfast. Then, proceed for sightseeing: Davis Falls, Gupteshwor
Cave, Bindabasini Temple, and the Seti River Gorge. Optional adventure
activities can also be done such as paragliding or zip lining. Later in the
evening, enjoy Lakeside's cafés and markets.
Day 5: Drive to Chitwan (4–5 hrs)
Depart Pokhara and drive south to Chitwan National Park,
Nepal's premier wildlife destination. After lunch and a brief orientation,
enjoy an evening Tharu cultural dance performance. Overnight in a jungle
resort.
Day 6: Chitwan Jungle Activities
A day of guided jungle activities will include a dugout
canoe ride along the Rapti River, birdwatching, jungle walk, and a visit to the
elephant breeding center. In the afternoon,
enjoy a jeep safari inside the national park, where rhinos,
deer, crocodiles, wild boars, and—if lucky—the elusive Bengal tiger can be
spotted. Sunset by the river completes the day.
Day 7: Return to Kathmandu
After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu. Free afternoon for
souvenir shopping, massages, and exploring local markets. Traditional Nepali
farewell dinner in the evening can be arranged.
Day 8: Departure
Transfer to the airport for your international flight.
