Royal Bardiya National park








Royal Bardiya national park is Nepal's one of the best secluded areas in the Terai . It is dispersal over an area of nine hundred and sixty eight spare kilometers 968 sq. km  is situated in the mid far west of the Teraj area . Behind this area the Karnali River flows in close.Royal Bardiya national  park is the widest and most undistributed wilderness area in the Terai Region .In 1969, the area was specially set aside as a Royal Hunting Reserve with an area of 368 sq.km. In 1982, it was renemed as the Royal Bardiya River Valley. The best seasons to visit the park are fall October, November and spring mid February April. From late April the weather carries more humidity and experiences  frequent thunder storms. In the summer season the temperature rises up to 45°C and the monsoon starts from early June. The diverse physical factors together with the broad of sal, savannah forests and grasslands is home to 30 different animals , more than 250 species of birds and several varieties of reptiles and aquatic species.  Some of ordinary animals found in the park are wild elephant , swamp deer , blackbuck , etc .
