The Everest Base Camp Trek is amongst the most
iconic adventures in the world, presenting breathtaking vistas of the
Himalayas, excellent cultural experiences, and an unforgettable journey to the
foot of the world's highest mountain. This 14-day itinerary has been carefully designed to address
acclimatization, scenic exploration, and rewarding trekking.
Day 1:
Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)
Arrive in
Kathmandu, meet your guide, and attend a briefing about your trek. Spend the
day exploring Kathmandu City and preparing for the days ahead.
Day 2:
Fly to Lukla (2,840m) & Trek to Phakding (2,610m)
Your trek
begins with an exciting mountain flight to Lukla. You will then descend through
pine forests to Phakding.
Day 3:
Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Trek
along the Dudh Koshi River, cross suspension bridges, and arrive at the
bustling Sherpa capital, Namche.
Day 4:
Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar
Rest and
explore local monasteries or hike to the Everest View Hotel for panoramic
mountain vistas.
Day 5:
Namche to Tengboche (3,860m)
Walk
through rhododendron forests to Tengboche, home of the famous Tengboche
Monastery and superb views of Everest and Ama Dablam.
Day 6:
Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m)
Descend
to Deboche, cross the Imja River, and climb steadily up to the windswept
village of Dingboche
Day 7: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche Its
ridgeline trail leads to the Nangkartsang Peak through a short and brisk hike
with ultimate acclimatization and sweeping views of the Himalayas.
Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910m) Trek past
memorials to fallen climbers and ascend to Lobuche, surrounded by towering
peaks.
Day 9:
Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,164m) & Everest Base Camp (5,364m) Reach Everest
Base Camp — a dream come true! Enjoy the breathtaking glacier scenery before
returning to Gorak Shep.
Day 10:
Hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m) & Trek to Pheriche (4,280m) Climb Kala
Patthar for sunrise views of Everest, then descend to Pheriche.
Days
11–13: Trek back via Namche and Lukla.
Day 14: A flight to Kathmandu and celebrate
your great Himalayan adventure.
