Festival in Nepal (Gai Jatra)

Festival takes a place in Kathmandu valley, special in Bhaktapur. The Newars believe the soul after death wanders about until this date having travel a dangerous route that is all happen assistance by the brave cow.  This day all the Newar,s family who is loose their family in year parades the cow or cow image through the streets. Also the villager’s people march the real cops and paste the yellow colors. Now a day’s most of family decorates the young boy or girl image of cow. Beside the cow the man dressed woman, ghost, demon and animals.

This tradition start from 18 century by Malla king sought to console the grieving queen who had just lost her son. The king invited the people to try to make the queen laugh and they responded with verity of peculiar costumes and social mockery that succeeded.

In these days also people are remembered satire day. The actors do a satire the political leader attitude. They will play and caricature the social worse matter

Nepal to Re-Measure Mt, Everest

Nepal want to preview of Mount Everest  because Nepal do not want to keep in confusion of height of the mount Everest. The office original Everest height is 8,848m but China and Nepal have long running disagreement over the height.

The Nepal government officer said this is the first time Nepal has taken mountain, s height. He said station will be set up at three diffident locations using the global positioning system, and the task of measure the peak would take two years.

They said that the mountain is becoming higher as India is gradually pushed beneath China and Nepal because of shifting continental plates. source by NTB

Nepal Festival Naaga Panchami

 
 This day in Nepal  celebrating in Naga Pachami on honored of the Naags, the serpent-Gods. This festival originated during the 11th century under the Thakuri dynasty. It is relented to the rain fall god rainfall god.The festival honored the ancient victory of the King, who is also tantric master.The Naaga in haven who is holding to the rain. The king did conjure to the Naags.This day worship to the Naags and compromise kindly  give insures there will no more drought in Nepal.

One day before Nepali people by the portraits and one the morning Naag Panchami attch in doorways and perform the Puja(worship ) according to scripture of Beda. Also give a food to the Naag, like rice pudding and dumpling and they will it.

Nepal traditional food Dal Vat (Rice and lentil)

Nepal’s traditional food called Dal(lentil) Vat Tarkari(vegetables). It is traditional food. It is quite healthy food. The lentil mixed different kind of beans and soybeans and the vegetable also mixed seasonal green vegetables. Now a day’s people opening Nepali restaurant, they are selling food with culture dance.   It is indeed good business. The foreigner people like to test Nepali food. You can get in restaurant verity of curry, for example Chicken Dal Vat, Pork Dal Vat, Buff Dal Vat etc.

Even you can find Dal Vat, in trekking area. I had taken picture of Dal Vat from Annapurna Ghandrung Trekking. It is very hygienic and testy. The vegetable is organic. We had spent one night in Ghandruk Guest House one night.

Nepal is middle of the Monsoon.

Nepal is the agriculture country. Nepal almost people depend on agriculture. The monsoon is the right on the door. The farmers are very busy to preparing the paddy field. The year the monsoon started good timing. The farmer is giving a god their appreciation. You can see below the picture the farmer plugging the field for preparation of paddy.
