Everest Base Camp Trekking Trail in Nepal

The  Everest base camp (4,500m) is without doubt one of the most famous trekking in the world. This trekking is also known as Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar trekking in Everest region . It reveals some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Himalayas. After exploring Kathmandu, you fly to Lukla where your trek to Everest begins. The trail follows the course of the Dudh Kosi, the ‘River of Milk’, gradually climbing through forests of rhododendron and magnolia. It crosses remote valleys, villages and monasteries. There are rest days at Namchae Bazaar  and at Dingboche village  for the acclimatization. Island Peak (6189m)

Island Peak (6189m) is the most popular trekking peak in Nepal. Island peak climbing with Everest base camp trekking is a wonderful adventurous trip. The local name of this peak is Imja Tse. It is an isolated peak in Chhukung valley. Actually this peak is extension of Mt. Lhotse Shar and is located between Mt Lhotse and Imja glaciers.  It involves one steep and exposed 100 m ice or snow climb, otherwise a non technical snow climb. Although the summit can be reached on a single day, we stay at high camp one night at its south west ridge to ensure the success. Climbing this peak offers stunning views of huge south face of Mt. Lhotse (8,501m), Nuptse (7,879m), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410m) and Lhotse Shar (8,383m) in the north, Mt. Makalu (8475m) and Mt. Fishtail Helicopter crashed in Amadablam Base Camp

On 8th November 2010, Sunday morning fishtail helicopter crashed near the base camp of Mt. Amadumblam in Solukhumbu district. According to source both the crew members have been confirmed dead. The crew members were Captain Sabin Basnet and technician Purna Awale. The chopper had taken off from Lukla airport to Amadablam base camp to rescue two foreign mountaineers Sunday morning.

Anapurna base camp trek very crowded

In Nepal this Monsoon is started very late and monsoon stops also very late. Trekkers are all targeted middle of October because last year weather is very good. This is Annapurna trekking is very busy.  Because of Lukla flight cancellation. This year middle of the October also raining like monsoon.  Lukla weather is very worst. Pokhara is the little paridase of Heaven

I have visited Pokhara last week. Early in the morning I had ride the boat in  Phewa Lake. I though it is one small part of heaven. In lake we can see reflection of Annapurna Mountains. Everest Mani Rimdu Festival Trek

Everest Mani Rimdu festival trekking is one of the most fascinating High Himalayan Buddhist festivals observed every year, usually in November (date fixed by lunar calendar). Tengboche, the world's highest monastery located in Solu Khumbu district of Nepal, is the focal point for the celebration of this festival. The main attraction of this festival is the various masked dances of religious significance. In this trek you are given opportunity to observe and attend this highly popular Himalayan festival in Tengboche monastery. We spend three nights at Tengboche for thoroughly witness this festival and back to Lukla via Namche bazaar, considered as the capital of Sherpa land.

Everest panorama Trek

Everest panorama trekking is also known as Everest View trek. It relatively easy and short but still very scenic one. It takes you to introduce Sherpa villages and its culture with great mountain views of World highest and beautiful mountains including Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, Thamserku, Kwangde etc. This trek starts from Lukla after 35 minutes of scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu. After we get down at Lukla airstrip we trek up to Namche Bazar, the gateway Khumbu region. After one day acclimatization in this Sherpa capital we proceed to Tengboche, a famous Tibetan monastery and final destination of this trek. From here we return back to Lukla. This trek is ideal for those who have less time and still want a view of high mountains of the world including Everest.
